Here’s a short list of 10 things parents just don’t seem to understand.

1. Times have changed… what you learned in college we now learn in highschool
2. Just because we don’t always have the best grades doesn’t mean our boyfriends are bad influences on us… did you ever think classes just got harder? probably not
3. just because i have one grade in the high 70s and one in the low 80s but the rest high grades doesnt mean i’m gonna work at McDonalds for the rest of my life
4. If I don’t keep my room squeaky clean 24/7 that does not mean I’m lazy and dirty… it just means i don’t have the time to do tht
5. When go out to hang with our friends it doesn’t mean i hate you…. it means i want to hang with my friends!
6. you say highschool should be fun and that i should stay a kid… yet the second i act my age you yell at me and tell me to grow up… MAKE UP YOUR MIND
7. Everyone needs to grow up at some point so let us do our thing when we are ready… we need our space
8. Ya we we wear snap backs… that doesn’t make us “hoodlums” that makes us lax bros
9. Technology isn’t bad it helps us learn more and stay connected
10. Let us make our mistakes and learn from them… sheltering us doesnt help us in the long run
